With over three decades of distinguished service, including as the Defense Cooperation Attaché to the United States, and earlier as Defense Attaché to NATO, the EU, Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands, Colonel Kim brings exceptional insight into defense acquisition, logistics, missile systems, international cooperation, and allied industrial diplomacy. His deep relationships across Korea’s defense community position him as a key asset to Samuel Group’s Washington-based clients.
“Colonel Kim’s appointment marks a significant milestone for the Samuel Group. His presence in Seoul gives us unparalleled access to Korea’s defense and advanced technology sectors at a moment when U.S.–Korea cooperation is expanding rapidly. Colonel Kim brings the operational experience, diplomatic expertise, and industry relationships needed to help Korean firms navigate the U.S. market and to support American clients seeking strategic partnerships in Korea. We are honoured to have him join our Washington team.”
Colonel Kim holds degrees from the Korea Military Academy and the Korea National Defense University and has served in senior roles across ammunition policy, mechanized and missile-system maintenance commands, air defense oversight, and overseas deployments. He is widely respected for his expertise in defense logistics, international procurement cooperation, and multinational industrial diplomacy.
