Samuel Group D.C. had the opportunity to attend and participate in the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) 2026 Annual Meeting and Exposition, held October 12–14 in Washington, D.C. The event brought together military leaders, government representatives, and defense companies to examine emerging capabilities and the industrial capacity needed to support them.
Representing Samuel Group D.C. were President and CEO Goran Samuel Pesic, Chief of Staff Aliénor Peyrefitte, and Senior Advisor Simon Lee. The team connected with colleagues from the United States, Canada, South Korea, and other partner nations, exchanging perspectives on defense innovation and opportunities for industrial cooperation.
Autonomous and unmanned systems featured prominently across the exhibition, including aerial drones and robotic ground vehicles. These technologies are expanding options for reconnaissance, resupply, and other missions that can expose personnel to danger. Exhibits also highlighted electronic warfare, counter-drone capabilities, and the communications and control systems needed to support operations in contested environments.
Advanced manufacturing was another important theme. Digital production tools, automation, and precision fabrication are helping companies address manufacturing constraints and expand defense production. For Samuel Group D.C., these developments reinforce the importance of linking technology investment with the practical ability to manufacture equipment, maintain it, and deliver it at the scale armed forces require.
The exhibition also presented new and evolving weapons platforms, including combat vehicles, missile systems, and precision munitions. Air defense and technologies for detecting and defeating drones reflected the need to protect forces against a wider range of threats. Together, these capabilities illustrated how mobility, protection, and firepower are developing alongside advances in sensors and battlefield connectivity.
For Samuel Group D.C., AUSA offered an opportunity to strengthen relationships and gain a closer view of the technologies shaping U.S. and allied defense priorities.
These engagements inform our work helping companies understand government requirements, identify industrial partners, and pursue opportunities in the United States and allied markets.
